BOATCAMP

BoatCamp Missionary Adventure

BAM offers amazing summer mission camps for high school teens. For almost 2 decades, our church has consistently provided leadership and missionary training opportunities through our trips aboard El Evangelista in partnership with PIONEERS.

Teens navigate visiting different indigenous communities in the Amazon rainforest using community service, sports, and the arts to connect with other people in need of hearing the biblical gospel.

If you’re looking for a unique summer adventure-filled mission program, you’ve come to the right place. Through practical learning and trips along the Ucayali River, we have managed to awaken leadership skills and impart the vision of God’s Mission in hundreds of adolescents.

THE AMAZON JUNGLE AND THE DREAM OF EVERY ADVENTURER…

Pucallpa, the gateway to the Peruvian Amazon, is vibrant and rich in nature. Located east of the Andes, the Ucayali region hosts 21 ethnic groups and diverse flora and fauna. This idyllic setting offers numerous physical and spiritual activities, including devotionals, sports, ministry service, and nature exploration.

Join our summer BoatCamp Missionary Adventure for teenagers for the trip of a lifetime!

PROGRAM AND ACTIVITIES

Your missionary adventure begins! Most students will fly to Lima, Peru and then to Pucallpa. After beeing picked up at the airport you will join the rest of the group in the church’s main building. There you will complete the formal registration process and head to your new, comfortable and clean houseboat.

Students then spend the rest of the first day preparing for life on board and getting to know each other as the sun sets behind the jungle foliage.

After spending the first night sleeping in their new houseboat with the rest of the campers, the activities begin. You will depart from the port of Pucallpa and start your first class. Groups are formed and competitions begin.

THE BOAT

“El Evangelista” is a boat built to be used as a tool in the fulfillment of the Great Commission along the banks of the Ucayali River in the Peruvian Amazon.

For the last 36 years, the Evangelical Missionary Church of Pucallpa has partnered with various churches and ministries to evangelize and disciple aboard the boat carrying the gospel of salvation.

“El Evangelista” has been used to deliver necessary aid to communities with little access and together with other churches and ministries they bring missionary teams of doctors, dental care, building construction and installation of water filtration systems.

Our vision is to accomplish three things during trips: evangelize the lost, support communities, and train the next generation of missionaries with sound doctrine.

El Evangelista has:

  • Trained and experienced staff

  • Space for 50 people plus crew

  • Equipped kitchen

  • Dining room/multipurpose room

  • Enough bathrooms for all!

Get on board and be a part of our next missionary adventure!
